Driving through this green valley, you pass numerous villages: Lliber, Jalón, Alcalalí, Parcent, Murla, Benichembla and Castel de Castells.
Pretty, winding little roads take you along vineyards, olive- and orange groves and almond trees.

There are lots of walks in the area and Casa Miralejos is situated on one of the many hiking routes. Especially in early spring, from February onwards, when the almond trees are in blossom, it attracts many ramblers.

One of the activities that you come across in the valley is climbing. The valley is very popular with climbers and the nearest climbing wall is less then a kilometre away.

For the cyclists though, this area is the “Eldorado”.  There is a special bar where one can enter by bike and in Jalon there is a Cycle Hire shop with professional equipment. There is a good chance that you will come across a professional club as this area is know to be used for training purposes. The “Col de Rates” is a good challenge for the experienced cyclist and this year (2019), the “Vuelta” will pass through the valley again.

The climate of the Costa Blanca lends itself as a fantastic place for golfers. These will have a big choice of golf clubs in the area, for example:
Club de Golf Ifach ( Moraira/Calpe)
Club de Golf Javea
Club de Golf La Sella (Denia)

For the holiday makers who would just enjoy relaxing, there is also enough to do. There are numerous terraces and the nearest beach is only a 20 min drive.

Jalon is known for its white wine and its sweet pudding wines: Moscatel and Mistella. There are several Bodega’s to visit.

On Saturdays, there is a big market and farmers market in Jalón, which attracts many people from the surrounding areas.

Our own little village Lliber is in the beginning of the Valley just 1 kilometer in front of Jalón. Lliber is an idyllic village with tiny streets and a lovely mayor square with a couple of inviting terraces under the trees. This square is within 10 minutes walk from Casa Miralejos.

Denia is within 30 minutes reach by car from Casa Miralejos. A wunderful town to walk around the harbourarea, to shop, visit the castle, the market, the beach or have a nice diner. From Denia there is also the ferry to Ibiza and Mallorca.

Javea can be reached within 25 minutes by car. Very popular beach, little harbour and some nice beachclubs which are worth a visit. In the old town you can find the nice tapas restaurants fort he late summer evenings.

Moraira is within a magnificent 20 minutes drive from Casa Miralejos, a beautiful road with some nice views to the coast. In summerseason Moraira is the place to enjoy the terraces, bars and restaurants as well as the nice beaches.

Calpe is within 15 minutes by car from Casa Miralejos. Calpe has 2 large beaches, very nice to walk along. The boulevard offers a choice of restauransts and bars. The old town of Calpe is worth a visit. Calpe is known by its large rock along the coast Phenon Ifach, which you can walk and be amased by the views from above.

Benidorm is 30 minutes drive from Casa Miralejos and is one of the biggest coastal resorts of Spain. You will find there every kind of bar, restaurant and shop, but don’t forget to visit the old centre with the narrow streets and lots of tapasbars.
